Re: police officers should just fight crime

I got called an effing c and and a w tonight by a 47 year old drunk woman who had been exposing herself in the pub and had been "befriended" by two northern blokes who were working down here. She was paraletic, and could barely speak she was so drunk and abusive. A copper would probably have arreste...

Re: 26th March - Are You Coming?

Never talk about religion or politics, I always agree with what Catweazle says, Bert is a leftie, so will always be the opposite. I would love to put in my two-penneth, but will resist the temptation.

Re: 26th March - Are You Coming?

We had/have 20 of the scum bags in our cells today, one of them was a vegetarian and they didn't have anything for him to eat, shame!!!

Re: PCSO's attending Red/Grade 1 Jobs

It always amazes me that an I or S grade call is put out on the radio, there is no response, then the SNT for that area is then called up and someone answers. More often than not, they don't initially put up for the call on their area. If I was their guv'nor, I would be asking why they have to be p...

Re: PCSO's attending Red/Grade 1 Jobs

I like Bert's ones the most, no mention of specific times unlike The Met.

I-grade - Urgent, life in danger, suspects on - 12 minute response
S-grade - Within 1 hour
E-grade - 24 hours I believe
There is another one, but never hear it, most are I and S grades with the very occasional E

Re: 26th March - Are You Coming?

The chief exec of my local council earns £40K more than the Prime Minister, how can that ever be justified? But he gets a lot in kind ie Free house, vehicles, weekend house, waiting staff etc, all this will add up to tens of thousands. It is a gimmick by the government to keep his wage low, compare...

Re: 26th March - Are You Coming?

Some wise words spoken on here. As far as the NHS is concerned, it should be looked at by someone outside of the NHS, not management of the NHS. We all know that there are too many middle managers, same applies to our jobs. Far too many Inspectors and Sergeants. The chief exec of my local council ea...

Re: PCSO's attending Red/Grade 1 Jobs

It does work in our favour sometimes, as it did for me this afternoon. Standing in town centre at one of my bus stop, when an I-grade call came out to an assault on a member of staff of a pub, by a female MoP, who was standing outside the pub right now!! I was 40 seconds run away, so I put myself up...

Re: 26th March - Are You Coming?

In and ideal world, I believe that Police, Healthcare and Education should have as much money as is necessary, within reason. Cuts to these core services is scandalous when there is so much money that is wasted and given to overseas causes. Charity starts at home as far as I am concerned. Unfortunat...

Re: emergency workers refused to pull a man from boating lak

I understand that, but how did they know he was already dead, if he was floating out in a lake??? One of the first things they teach you in training "Never assume!!!" and hopefuly the 2rd is not to go jumping into lakes and the 3rd should be not to take any notice of the Daily Hate Mail. Maybe not ...
