No: 6 is a Chinese symbom called "yīnyáng". Root meaning: moonlight (dark) and sunlight (light). Yin later came to be associated with female, negative etc. Yang later came to be associated with male, positive etc.

I can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin, sometime I will be asked from station reception for interpreting to Chinese victim for initial enquiry. Should I ask the station officer to contact proper interpreter next time?

Some of you may have a different talents or specialist skills, such as language skills, have you been requested to assist your colleagues with your specialist skills? did you get extra paid for that? I always been asked for interpreting service for free!

OK. I hope you have a line manager who is not too hung up on that sort of thing. My line manager lets me wear my own bought combat trousers and hi vis T shirt. As long as I am comfortable and look smart he is happy. We have also run out of bike kit funding. Only issued kit now is helmet, sun glasse...
