As the horror of the Grenfell Tower block fire unfolded on Wednesday (June 14) morning, people from across the country have started asking what they can do to help those affected.

It's thought that around 500 people call the Lancaster West Estate high-rise home, and they need help - most of them will have lost everything.

getwestlondon has launched this JustGiving page, in aid of those affected by the horrific fire.

Although we'll never be able to replace their loved ones, memories and homes, we can help them rebuild.

We can show them that there's a whole country of people willing to support them as best as we can.

So if you can afford it, even just £1, please show these people some love at this terrible time and donate.

Day 2 question.

Post by skim86 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 7:33 pm

Hi,

Probably a silly question, but just to make sure :)

Got my PCSO day 2 assessment soon (MET), and it says I should bring along suitable attire, tracksuit etc, but I was wondering if it is expected to attend in smart getup and change there, or if I can just turn up in my trackies and trainers as I was planning to.

Thanks!

Good luck mate!

Hey

I just had my day 2 on the 13 July I went in my normal clothes and changed when I got there which so did a lot of other people. Although there were a couple of people that turnt up in their tracksuit and trainers it just saves getting changed later on I guess.

Good luck I hope everything goes well for you!

Just wondering what you decided to wear to your day 2 and what most of the others opted to wear as I have mine on Tuesday?

Thanks in advance

Hey,

I ended up going in a shirt and trousers and got changed in the loo, however, 2 of the 6 in my group just had their running gear on, so it really doesn't matter.

Good Luck!

Hi, for anyone else that is concerned about this on future days... I too can confirm on mine with TVP last week, whilst I turned up in shirt/trousers (and then changed in the loo) there were several people - including current TVP staff - that turned up in tracksuit, etc. So it really does not matter too much, so long as you are only attending just for fitness test.

Day 2 is the fitness test and the medical falkor.

The fitness consists of the push/pull test using 34kg and the bleep testup to level 5.4 which is running slowly for 3 minutes 29 seconds.
