Yes, I saw Panorama last night and very interesting it was too. Seems we are losing many PC's to other countries. Recruitment to Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Apparently our guys are well thought of abroad that's why they are being poached.

It's a shame that our politicians can't give them the support that they need and then perhaps they wouldn't feel the need to leave this country.

The program was a fair and balanced from my point of view but the government will ignore it.

RE "however I'm glad hes gone to Canada... Like I said If you don't like the heat get out the kitchen..."

I disagree, he is very appreciated by police officers and will be missed by rank and file. His book is owned by huge numbers of police. His stance and views clearly represent the vast majority of police officers raising the problems of British policing to the masses.

I thought he appeared to be an extremely dedicated and conscientious officer and his loss to the force I think will be greatly missed, if other rank and file police officers follow suite what are we left with.

This officer in my opinion certainly could stand the heat but was not offered the relevent equipment/backup to help him, this has to be addressed and it would be beneficial if those in the ivory towers took note and acted accordingly.

Of course they will. They'll just create more paperwork to go with the paperwork you've already got

http://www.localpcso.blog.co.uk/

well worth a look
Local PCSO
I have decided to put my thoughts, comments and experiences down in black and white so that everyone can see what your average Police Community Support Officer gets up to on a day to day basis.

Recently we have been subject to quite a lot of criticism, which in my opinion is unjustified. The comments made by the Daily hate mail etc are not based upon fact and I doubt they have taken the time to speak to an actual PCSO. This blog is for the rest of us, the ones who aren't guided by tabloid trash, and who like to form there own opinions as a result of the facts they have been presented with. Rant over, I hope you enjoy the blog and please forward any comments (good or bad)
have a read!
