great stuff like it alot, shame i couldn't listen to part 2 though, but keep it up. i'm very impressed that arthur's force have the power to search for offensive weapons, now that would be a useful tool.

only applies if the person is already detained by the PCSO but yes ninja, I was a little stunned by that myself :slwoot:

but two minutes searching just now the powers page and I found it in Section B
Power to search detained persons for dangerous items or items that could be used to assist escape: Enables CSOs to be designated with the same powers as a constable under section 32 of PACE to search detained persons for anything that could be used to cause physical injury or to assist escape. A CSO must comply with a police officer’s instructions on what to do with the item.
Section B LISTS DISCRETIONARY POWERS THAT CAN BE DESIGNATED BY CHIEF OFFICERS and Arthur has a chief officer who has done that, extremely interesting talk and I do thank Arthur for stepping forward this morning and going ahead with the "interview" :slby:

==================
Anyone else fancy stepping forward into the breach for a 20 minute chat on PCSOs/ JOB/ Hobbies/ News ? Now you can see how it turns out, who would like to try it? More than 1 person can phone at once I believe, we could have 2 or 3 members talking together :slch2:

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to sound off Falkor. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience (although I painfully ran out of steam on the "anomalous phenomena bit at the end :sltee: )

Quick links to the three parts on Youtube are:

Part 2
Part 3

PLEASE COME FORWARD to have a go at this, a favourite time to do this seems to be 0800 SAT or SUN or 2000 SAT or SUN - all you need is a Skype connection and an opinion :slch2:

My only regret is that I didn't have time to talk about my fascinating and unique collection of toilet roll barcodes :slwoot:

Why would it matter that someone identifies you?

Most people in my Force know my online identity. You are allowed to have an opinion as long as it is constructive or can be backed-up by evidence.

In my view, it's our DUTY to inform the public of the work we do and to fight the corner of the vulnerable people in our communities.

Give your opinions honestly, as you see them and don't "name names" and you haven't got anything to worry about.

Go on..... have a go. It's great fun.

BTW. For anyone who doesn't already know who I am, I'll be on show and available for interviews (and bar mitzvahs) in Manchester on Sunday 29th September outside the Tory party conference, protesting to save the NHS. I'll be the bloke in the blue "STOP POLICE PRIVATISATION" T shirt. See you all there?
