57 per cent rise in the number of PCSOs in Wales

Any other 'PCSO issues' that do not fit in to the other forums. Recruitment of PCSOs, day to day PCSO duties, questions about law, joining the regular police, becoming a special, anything else remotely PCSO orientated!!

57 per cent rise in the number of PCSOs in Wales

Post by falkor » Tue May 13, 2014 7:03 pm

In contrast to England, there has been a 57 per cent rise in the number of PCSOs in Wales, with an extra 409 posts created, with dedicated funding from the Welsh government

any PCSOs working in Wales care to comment? Only five police forces out of the 39 in England have maintained or increased their number of PCSOs since the coalition government came in so this from Wales is HUGE!!! :slhat:

A somewhat related question; in general, is there more respect for PCSOs from the public in Wales vs. England?
